Diversity Training

The world looks different than it has in the past. The changes demand new ways of interaction and communication.  Diversity competent effort is required on two levels:  personal awareness of the issues people experience and eliminating systemic barriers in with the organization. 

Each of Destiny Consulting’s training sessions will address diversity competencies for including and engaging people from different socioeconomic backgrounds, with different disabilities, different nationalities/ethnic backgrounds and etc.  

Cultural competence is defined as a set of behaviors, attitudes, and policies that help organizations and staff work effectively with people of different cultures. This series explores the rich dynamics of cross cultural interactions and provides participants with knowledge and skill to increase their effectiveness in relating across cultural differences.

Typical learning outcomes from our custom diversity training may include:

  • Assess the business impact of your own culturally-based preferences, biases, and cultural norms and define developmental plans to help move forward more effectively.
  • Define and differentiate among, diversity, inclusion, intercultural competence, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and Affirmative Action. State how each is relevant to business.
  • Describe how you and the team in which you participate intend to work differently so that you achieve the full benefits of diversity and inclusion.
  • Describe what an inclusive work environment looks like and its benefits to all employees and to our business.
  • Start your own personal action plan to help the organization achieve a more inclusive work environment.
